Village of Morrisville offices will be closed to the public through March 31, 2020 in an attempt to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The Village Office will have limited staff working reduced hours. We encourage residents with questions or concerns to call or email as many can be answered this way. To contact the Village Clerk use villageclerk@frontiernet.net or the Code Enforcement Officer morrisvilleceo@frontier.com. Alternatively, call the Village Office (684-7007) option 2 and leave a message if there is no answer.

We recognize the uncertainty that presently exists and we are all working through this process together.

By order of Judge Lawrence Marks, the Chief Administrative Judge for the state of New York, the Eaton Town Court, and the Morrisville Village Court are closed at this time due to the current COVID-19 outbreak. All essential court operations have been transferred to Madison County Court. If you have not been notified that you need to appear there, then your case has been adjourned, and you do not need to appear until notified. You will receive a new court date in the mail.

VILLAGE OF MORRISVILLE - PUBLIC NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the April meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Morrisville will be held on April 2, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. Members of the public body will be participating via videoconferencing technology, with no in-person location. The public may listen to or view this meeting via web-based video technology by going to zoom.us/join and entering Meeting ID 512-255-069

A transcript of the meeting will be available at a later date.

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Morrisville are conducting this meeting pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.1.

PUBLIC NOTICE - VILLAGE OF MORRISVILLE

2020-2021 Tentative Budget

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that a public hearing will be held on April 2, 2020 at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Town of Eaton Offices, 35 Cedar Street, Morrisville, regarding the 2020-2021 tentative budget for the Village of Morrisville.

Under the tentative budget, the proposed salaries for the mayor and trustees for the 2020-2021 fiscal year are $3,000 and $1,000 per year, respectively.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a copy of said tentative budget is on file at the Village Office, 23 Cedar Street, Morrisville. Due to current public health concerns, the public is encouraged to review the tentative budget online at www.morrisvilleny.com/government/budgets/

The public may submit written comments regarding the tentative budget.

VILLAGE OF MORRISVILLE - NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been presented to the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Morrisville, New York, on March 5, 2020, proposed Local Law No. 2‑2020, titled “A Local Law to Amend Chapter 135 of the Code of the Village of Morrisville to Regulate the Placement of Garbage, Trash, Refuse and Recyclable Containers at the Curb.” Said Local Law, if enacted, time limitations will be imposed to regulate the placement and removal of garbage, trash, refuse and recyclable containers at the curb, and will allow for the removal of such containers after such time period expires. The full text of said Local Law is on file at the Clerk’s Office at the Village Hall, 23 Cedar Street, in the Village of Morrisville, New York and may be viewed by all interested persons during normal business hours.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on March 5, 2020, the Village Board of Trustees determined that this proposed Local Law is an Unlisted Action pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act and a negative declaration was adopted at that time.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Village Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on the proposed Local Law at the Town of Eaton Offices, 35 Cedar Street, Morrisville, New York on April 2, 2020 at 7:15 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at which time all persons interested will be heard.

All interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard during the Public Hearing.
